A $5-per-class fee for premium group fitness classes that was supposed to begin May 1 has been delayed to allow the Fitness Center and Aquatics staff more time to review the fee with the RWC Board.
The fee was set to apply to classes such as Zumba, Deep Water Aerobics and future Barre, Spin and Advanced Yoga programs. These premium classes are taught by instructors certified in specialized programs.
Community Services Director Ann Mottola heard from residents who have taken some of these classes in the past.
“We want to thank everyone who reached out regarding the fitness fees,” she said. “The implementation date is being suspended to allow for further discussion with the RWC Board.”
